They're more like guidelines anyway...

Too bad the deadlines and standards for my research aren't more like guidelines. Oh well, a pirate's life isn't easy! I think I like my new pirate name. Here is the description that went along with my name. I might replace that last "Arr" with "Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum".

A pirate's life isn't easy;it takes a tough person. That's okay with you, though, since you a tough person. You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr!

Oh Heavenly Day

I wish I had the words to describe the Patty Griffin concert on Friday night. But since I'm writing this during my "research" time, I'll leave that up to some of the better writers in our little blogosphere who were at the concert as well. Most of you know how much I love the Pageant, so there isn't a better venue for me to see one of my favorite artists. Here is one of the songs she sang on Friday. You can hear this one and a few others from her new album on myspace.
